Frequently Asked Questions

How do I measure my walls for wallpaper?

To measure your room for wallpaper, you need the height and width of each wall. To get the repeat to match up perfectly, your rolls all need to be the same length. The 3’, 6’, 9’, and 12’ rolls will not match up at the top of the roll. Thus, ordering smaller rolls to go around windows or closets is not recommended.

Do Include: Doors, windows, closets, etc. in your measurements.
Do Not Include: Baseboards.

How many rolls of wallpaper do I need?

To determine how many rolls of wallpaper you need, here are the steps you need to follow. All of our wallpaper is 2’ (24”) wide.

  1. Determine wall dimensions. The wall height will tell you how long the roll needs to be (3’, 6’, 9’, or 12’). The wall width will tell you how many rolls you need.

  2. Take the wall width, in inches, and add a couple of inches to account for wall variations. Divide that number by 24 and round up to the next whole number.

Example: For example, if your wall is 9.5' wide, the number you get is 4.75, so you will need 5 panels of wallpaper. (9.5 feet x 12 = 114 inches. 114/24 = 4.75)

Does your wallpaper require an overlap?

Yes, our wallpaper, both peel and stick and pre-pasted, require a 0.5” (1 cm) overlap. This makes installation easier for DIY. The seams are beautiful and difficult to see.

We are unable to make our wallpaper without this overlap. However, you may use a double-cutting method. This method is NOT recommended for pre-pasted wallpaper as there is some shrinkage once the paper dries.
